Cognotec hires new Managing Director for Asia

David Jones has been appointed Cognotec’s new Managing Director for the Asian region. Cognotec has created the new senior role as a result of the success of its Asian joint venture with Softbank Corp., Forexbank, announced earlier this year. With Cognotec, Jones will oversee the marketing and support of Cognotec’s AutoDeal LITE service, an internet based foreign exchange dealing solution, throughout the Asia Pacific region. Jones will be responsible for Cognotec’s offices in Tokyo, Hong Kong and Sydney. He will also be one of Cognotec’s appointed directors on the board of Forexbank, the joint venture recently established with Softbank. Before joining Cognotec, Jones was Managing Director of Infinity, a SunGard Company, where he was responsible for bringing the Panorama risk management system and the Infinity Forex system to the Japanese and Korean markets.
