AFP Appoints Stine as Chief Financial Officer
The Association for Financial Professionals (AFP) has named Jeffery D. Stine, CPA, as its chief financial officer. In this position, Stine is responsible for the association’s financial activities including financial reporting and forecasting, budget preparation, risk management, and financial and internal audits. In addition, he will oversee the actions of the Member Services department, ensuring timely communication with members and customers. Stine has more than 30 years of professional experience in finance and accounting. Previously, he served as controller for the Telecommunications Development Fund, a Washington, D.C., venture capital non-profit. His responsibilities included oversight of a $25 million investment fund. Additional positions he has held include corporate controller at the Enterprise Social Investment Corporation in Columbia, MD, and partner in the public accounting firm of Wolpoff & Company in Baltimore, MD.
