David Foster Is Appointed CEO of Burns e-Commerce Solutions

Foster joined Burns as sales and marketing director earlier this year following a £4.5 million investment from Hg Capital in the company’s first round of funding. Fosters’ appointment coincides with the opening of the new Burns office in the City of London. Prior to joining Burns, Foster was senior vice president, operations at ICG Commerce Europe, an online procurement service. Before that Foster spent a year at Baan where he was tasked with turning around the UK operation – a task that he achieved against a difficult corporate background. Before joining Baan, Foster was chief executive of Parallax Solutions Limited, a UK provider of e-commerce solutions to the finance and manufacturing sectors. Foster has extensive sales, marketing and operational experience both in the European and US markets.
