Valicert Desktop Validator Launched

The ValiCert Desktop Validator is a plug-in module designed to provide validation capabilities to Microsoft-based applications. This new OCSP (Online Certificate Status Protocol) plug-in allows users to safeguard their electronic activity – whether it is downloading applets, or engaging in high value online transactions. The validation of digital certificates provides a necessary step that warns users before they rely on certificates, thereby reducing the risk of loss. Users can check the status of digital certificates used to sign S/ MIME email while also allowing end-users to check the status of digital certificates present in the various certificate data stores of a computer running Microsoft Windows NT, Microsoft Windows 95, or Microsoft Windows 98.
