New ValiCert Products Granted FIPS 140-1 Level 1 Certification

ValiCert, Inc., a provider of software security products that connect companies and governments with their business partners over the Internet, has launched the latest release of ValiCert Validator Toolkit and Validator Suite software. Both products are now certified compliant with Federal Information Processing Standard Publication (FIPS) 140-1 Level 1 security standards. The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) gives such certification only after the products pass rigorous tests by a certified testing laboratory. ValiCert Validator Toolkit and Suite enable U.S. Federal agencies and corporations to verify the identity of online users and ensure the security of email, web servers, web browsers and other corporate information systems. The software authenticates digital identity certificates in real time.
