Prebon Launches Hybrid Credit Derivatives Trading Platform

Prebon Global Credit (Prebon), the inter-dealer broker, has extended its index voice trading business by launching live trading of European indices on PrebonEdge, its electronic credit derivatives trading platform. The platform will cover single names by mid September. Commenting on the rollout of PrebonEdge, Joe Santomo, of Prebon’s credit derivatives desk, said: ‘Our clients demand liquidity. The credit derivatives team has been working with Prebon’s technology department and Trayport to ensure we develop a platform that will increase our position in the credit derivatives market.’ The technology behind PrebonEdge is provided by Trayport, a supplier of multi-asset-class trading platforms.
