SunGard's AvantGard Selected by Caterpillar Inc.

SunGard Treasury Systems announced that Caterpillar Inc. has selected the AvantGard suite of solutions to support its global treasury operations and will implement the solution using 6 Sigma methodology. Caterpillar will use several modules of AvantGard-GTM 8.0, including cash management and forecasting, multi-lateral netting, bank relationship management, advanced risk analysis, and accounting. The total SunGard solution will consolidate different financial systems onto a single global, integrated platform for use in global treasury operations. “SunGard Treasury Systems has focused a great deal of resources on AG-GTM 8.0 over the past year to support the treasury investment of our clients and prospects who seek this comprehensive solution,” said Ken Dummitt, president of SunGard Treasury Systems.
