UnitedHealth Group Appoints New Strategy Officer
UnitedHealth Group has announced that Philip J. Philliou has joined the company as chief strategy officer for Exante Financial Services. UnitedHealth Group chartered Exante in 2002, and it is now one of the largest health savings account administrators in the nation. Philliou joins Exante Financial Services from MasterCard International, where he most recently served as vice president of advanced payments and technologies. Since joining MasterCard in November 1999, Philliou spearheaded the introduction of several significant programs for the corporate market and forged relationships with some of the largest technology companies. Prior to his experience with MasterCard, Philliou was director of strategy and marketing at American Express. In his new role with Exante, Philliou will direct strategy for one of the only financial services institutions in the country dedicated solely to the health care industry.
