Law Firm Paul Hastings Hires Equity Team to Strengthen Focus in Asia

International law firm Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker (Paul Hastings) has announced the addition of Maurice Hoo as a partner in the firm’s Asia private equity group. Mr Hoo and his team will be based in the firm’s Hong Kong office but will be covering Asia with a focus on greater China. With over 15 years of experience, Mr Hoo specialises in cross-border private equity, venture capital and mergers and acquisitions, as well as US corporate and securities transactions. He represents global private equity and venture capital funds, investment banks and strategic investors, as well as portfolio companies, in investments ranging from US$5m to over US$300m, and in public securities offerings. Mr Hoo brings with him a team of two associates, Michael Hosokawa and Lung-Chi Lee, both experienced in venture capital, private equity, corporate and securities transactions in Asia and the US.
