RBS Appointments for Emerging Markets and Global Rates

The Royal Bank of Scotland Financial Markets (RBS) has appointed Kenneth Kan and Chris Dunning to its emerging markets trading capability in Asia and North America. Kan will head the Asian emerging markets, based in Hong Kong. He joins RBS from Standard Chartered, Singapore, where he was the global head of NDF trading for seven years. Chris Dunning will head the emerging markets FX and EM options. He joins RBS from Standard Chartered, New York, after three and a half years, where he was responsible for their Latin American FX business. Meanwhile RBS has also made several appointments to its global rates business. Tim Murphy joins RBS as a senior trader on the European government bond desk. Murphy was previously at ABN Amro, where he has worked for the last 15 years as a senior bond trader. Dr Kevin Gaynor joins RBS as head of financial markets economics and rates research. Previously, Gaynor was at UBS, where he has worked for the last 10 years, as head of European economics and most recently, head of European equity strategy. Henrik Melph joins RBS as head of central bank sales in the rates liquid products sales team. Prior to joining RBS Henrik was at UBS where he was head of central bank liquid product sales.
