Aconite Announces Acquisition of Smart Commerce
Aconite has announced its acquisition of New York based Smart Commerce Inc (SCI). SCI is a smart card solutions provider focused on the Canadian and American markets. The SCI acquisition positions Aconite to meet the growing need for technology partners by banks to accommodate the 60 million EMV chip cards in use around the world. Mike Woods, Aconite’s CEO says, “The Canadian market is strategic to Aconite’s overall business plan and will accelerate plans to actively develop new business in North and South America.”
