Belron Chooses XRT to Build Cash Management and Communication Infrastructure

BELRON, a global vehicle glass repair and replacement company has selected treasury solution supplier XRT for the group’s cash forecasting, cash management and cash pooling requirements. Owner brands such as, Carglass, Autogladd, Lebeau and O’Brien, Belron is currently implementing a business-wide cash management and communication infrastructure using XRT Globe$ and XRT Business Exchange. Belron has a centralised treasury infrastructure based in London. Its current cash management system is no longer keeping pace with the business demand so the company decided to completely review is current cash management and pooling facilities. Christine Clemencon, assistant treasurer, said, “The nature of our business means that we need to maximize the use of one of our most valuable resources – cash. However, as a global company, ensuring that this resource is being used to its maximum advantage is complex and requires accurate and extremely current information on which to base decision-making. It quickly became clear that relying on an infrastructure which required a great deal of manual input and separate systems to record all our treasury activities, was not the best way to proceed.” Implementation and roll out of the XRT infrastructure is currently underway, and is expected to be complete during 2006.
