ABN Amro Makes Business Banking Appointments in Asia
ABN Amro has made a number of appointments to its business banking team in Asia. The three senior hires are a response to the bank’s identification of the small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) segment being key to its overall Asia growth strategy. In Taipei, John Lee joins as head of business banking in Taiwan and will focus on capturing a fast growing share of the triangular Greater China SME investment, trade and payment flows, where the Taiwan leg forms a key component. In a similar capacity, Madi Lazuardi, has been appointed as head of business banking in Indonesia, focusing on capturing the large base of local businesses in Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Surabaya and Medan. In Hong Kong, Pin Chua joins business banking’s regional office as head of portfolio management and strategy development, Asia. Pin will focus on the alignment of ABN Amro’s business banking strategy with country-specific SME demands, as well as ensuring that best practices are consistently applied to the benefit of clients across Asia.
