Lloyds TSB Appoints New Head of Leveraged Syndications
Lloyds TSB Corporate Markets has appointed David Whiteley as managing director and head of its newly formed leveraged loan syndication team. Whiteley has joined from Royal Bank of Scotland where he was a managing director in the capital markets syndications team focusing on leveraged finance transactions. Whiteley arrives at a time when the wider debt capital markets area, headed by Mark Grant, is undergoing a restructuring and re-organisation of its loan business. As a result, the syndicate and structuring functions (loan syndicate), who report to Ian Fitzgerald, managing director and head of loan syndications, will be refocused and expanded. The end product of this streamlining development will be the merging of the primary distribution team (primary loan sales) and the loan sales and trading, reporting to Gordon Craigen, managing director and head of loan sales and trading.
