American Express Appoints Paul Hargreaves to Lead Business Travel UK & Ireland

American Express Business Travel has appointed Paul Hargreaves to the newly created role of vice president and general manager, business travel UK & Ireland and global foreign exchange services (GFES), effective from 3 September 2007. Hargreaves will succeed Stephen Etchells who is leaving his role as vice president/general manager business travel UK & Ireland at the end of July to pursue interests outside the Company. Since joining American Express in 1993, Hargreaves has held increasingly senior roles within the GFES in Europe, most recently as vice president of the operation. In his new role, Hargreaves will combine his current responsibilities in GFES, including FX international payments, wholesale and airport distribution channels, with driving the growth of the American Express business travel operation in the UK & Ireland market.
