Fortis Investments Appoints Olivier Lafont as CEO for Belgium

Fortis Investments has appointed Olivier Lafont to the post of CEO of Fortis Investments in Belgium. This appointment follows the decision by Peter De Proft to leave the post and accept a new challenge at the European Fund and Asset Management Association (EFAMA). Lafont has 12 years’ experience at Fortis Investments. His former role as head of Belgian institutional sales will be of particular relevance to his new role, which involves combining commercial management with the role of local CEO, Belgium. He will also be required to act as an ambassador for the company to the rest of the world.
