American Express Launches Platinum Card in Europe

American Express has announced the launch of Platinum corporate cards in the UK, France and Germany. The card, available from October 2007, has been introduced to offer superior added value benefits, provide an expense management solution for corporates and reward corporate card members. Features of Platinum include access to over 500 executive airport lounges, access to the Internet and email in many locations and complimentary upgrades at selected car hire and hotel partners. Card members also receive complimentary membership of the American Express loyalty programme, offering personal rewards redeemable against a range of products including flights and weekend breaks. Card members are also registered for the Card Defence Service, designed to ensure business trips aren’t compromised by lost passports, driving licences or cards. After documents are registered, the service can organise card replacements or fax documents to a relevant embassy, consulate or car hire bureau.
