New Appointment To KBC Group's Executive Committee

Frans Florquin, CEO of the Belgium business unit of KBC Group, is to retire from KBC on 1 May 2008, a few days short of his 61st birthday and after a career spanning 36 years, 10 of which as managing director at KBC. Following a proposal by the executive committee and after the advice of the nomination committee, the board of directors has decided to appoint Danny De Raymaeker to succeed Florquin as a member of the executive committee. The appointment will take effect on 1 May 2008. The boards of directors of KBC Bank and KBC Insurance subsequently decided to appoint him as a member of the executive committees of KBC Bank and KBC Insurance, respectively, with effect on the same date. At the next AGM of shareholders of KBC Insurance, and also at the next AGM of KBC Bank, he will be nominated as managing director of both companies. De Raymaeker will take office on 1 May 2008.
