PricewaterhouseCoopers Expands Financial Services Transaction Banking Practice

PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) has appointed Julian Wakeham as partner and Mark Hale as director in its financial services transaction banking practice. Wakeham joins PwC from Capco, where he was the lead partner for the company’s UK business and responsible for its global transaction services team. Prior to that, he held a number of business and operational roles at Citibank and over the last 10 years has advised a large number of US, European and Asian banks on projects spanning new business development, major operations establishment and organisational change and restructuring. Hale joins PwC from Barclays Bank, where he was the director of payments and settlements. While at Barclays he represented the UK financial services industry within the UK and Europe, most recently as an office holder within the European Payments Council in the establishment of the single euro payments area (SEPA). He also served on the boards of all the major UK electronic payment clearings of limited companies, European payment associations and represented the bank within the Association of Payments and Clearing Services in the UK.
