Citi Indonesia & APJP Team Up to Streamline Import-Export Sector

Citi has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Association of Priority Importing Companies (APJP – Asosiasi Perusahaan Jalur Prioritas) to streamline process flows in Indonesia’s import-export sector, while also supporting the government’s National Single Window trade policy. Dr Ing Gunadi Sindhuwinata, head of APJP, said: “Our APJP members commend Citi’s initiative to help Indonesia’s business environment become more efficient. We hope that this joint effort will also help increase Indonesia’s business environment favourability risk to the international community in the coming years.” APJP members make up 50% of the total export-import in Indonesia. This activity will also indirectly support the reform programmes of the Directorate General of Customs. In addition, Citi plans to work with APJP and the relevant government departments to further develop the use of its existing Internet information, payment and settlement platforms, which have been recently launched in Indonesia to enhance import and export flows.
