Barloworld Automotive Automates Invoice Processing in Scandinavia with Contempus

Barloworld Automotive has deployed Contempus.Invoice, an accounts automation solution, to optimise financial control in its Scandinavian operations and to automate processing of the 100,000 invoices it receives in the region each year. Barloworld Automotive, which operates the Avis and Budget car rental brands in Scandinavia, has deployed the solution at its head offices in Norway, Sweden and Denmark. The solution is designed to ensure that all invoices received at each head office location are processed, approved and scheduled for payment consistently and automatically. The solution replaces the company’s previous manual processing system, and integrates with the its Agresso accounting software. As well as automating what was previously a labour-intensive process, Contempus say that the key benefits of the solution are consistent processing and management, and quick, easy access to archived invoices across Barloworld’s Scandinavian operations. Kofax scanning and data capture products are used at the head office in each country to upload invoice data into the solution, which is then matched against purchase orders and supplier details for local payment authorisation. After approval, the invoice image and supporting details are sent from each office to the central Contempus server in Billingstad, near Oslo.
