HSBC Global Payments and Cash Management Makes Appointments in Growth Markets

HSBC Global Payments and Cash Management has appointed two senior management personnel to lead its businesses in India and South Africa. Based in Mumbai, Thomas Schickler has joined HSBC as head of global payments and cash management, India. In this role, Schickler will be responsible for driving HSBC’s cash management business strategy in this market, leading a team to deliver integrated cash management solutions tailored to a range of companies, including multinational corporations, mid-market enterprises, small businesses and financial institutions. Prior to this, he was managing director with JPMorgan where he led the liquidity and investments product management group for Asia. In addition, Idrees Kolabhai has been appointed as head of global payments and cash management, South Africa, where he will be overseeing the development of HSBC’s cash management business in the country. Kolabhai joins from Citi, where he specialised in the development of mass payments and customer centric receivables solutions.
