China Shipping Container Lines Selects GT Nexus Portal
China Shipping Container Lines (CSCL) has selected GT Nexus as its preferred industry portal for e-commerce services. CSCL will fully integrate its back office systems to GT Nexus to enable complete paperless business transactions with major shipper and forwarder customers.
“In the containerised shipping industry, e-commerce has matured to the point where it is now a vital part of a carrier’s value-added services,” said Mr. Huang Xiaowen, GM and executive director of CSCL.
The GT Nexus trade and logistics portal combines strategic business applications and a network of carriers, 3PLs and suppliers. The company says that all services are delivered on-demand, over the web. Carriers integrate to the portal once and can then use that single standardised interface to exchange business information with thousands of global customers.
