SunGard Expands Indian Operations
SunGard is expanding its financial systems operations in India with the appointment of a new managing director for India sales and the addition of new sales and business development staff in Mumbai.
The expansion demonstrates SunGard’s commitment to enhancing its solutions and support for India’s financial services industry and comes on top of SunGard’s existing 2,000-person global delivery organisation in Bangalore and Pune.
Atul Sareen, the new managing director of sales, for SunGard’s financial systems business in India, said: “This expansion of our Indian operations underlines our commitment to the local financial services industry, and to the long-term potential we see here. We have a range of category-leading solutions across areas such as insurance, trading, banking, energy and wealth management, and we’re excited about the enhanced offerings our growth can give Indian customers.”
