Bladex Appoints Schech as CFO

Banco Latinoamericano de Comercio Exterior (Bladex) has appointed Christopher Schech as chief financial officer. He will be responsible for the bank’s financial management, as well as the interaction with rating agencies, shareholders, and investors. Previously, Schech worked for Volvo Financial Services in Europe and GE Consumer Finance/GE Money in Latin America and Asia.

Schech replaces Jaime Celorio, effective 1 October 2009. Celorio leaves Bladex after two years of service to pursue other opportunities.
