Schroder Investment Management Selects IT2 TMS

Schroder Investment Management has selected IT2 to provide an integrated solution for their treasury operations related to property investment portfolio management, based in the City of London, Amsterdam and Luxembourg.

Schroder’s will deploy IT2 to manage the group’s property investment financing, and for all aspects of the related cash management operations. Schroder’s investment in advanced support for cash management reflects a contemporary trend to focus technology investment on cash management operations. This shift of emphasis is driven by the credit crunch, and is seen in both financial institution and corporate treasury departments. IT2’s breadth and flexibility for managing diversified asset classes such as property was an important consideration in the system selection project.

Roger Lees, chief operations officer of Schroder Property Investment, said: “IT2 will provide us with an integrated STP [straight-through processing] solution that encompasses the financing of property investments, cash and liquidity management and forecasting, internal and external loan administration, interest rate hedging, financial risk analysis and performance reporting. We selected IT2 because it offers a robust, single integrated platform for managing STP treasury operations, eliminating spreadsheets and providing strong audit features through the IT2 process maps. IT2’s strong track record in this market was also a contributing factor. IT2’s demonstrable added value provided the justification for our investment.”
