Thomson Reuters Widens Data Coverage for Emerging Market Exchanges

Thomson Reuters has widened its coverage of market data for four emerging market stock exchanges and the Dow Jones Federation of Euro-Asian stock exchanges Index (FEAS) to satisfy increasing demand from its global transaction community. In moves to help increase transparency and access to some of the world’s fastest growing emerging markets, Thomson Reuters has implemented a number of firsts, all accessible via the Reuters 3000 Xtra desktop, including real-time data for the recently launched Ukrainian Exchange.

In more detail:

  • Hanoi Stock Exchange (HSE): Thomson Reuters is the first non-domestic firm to provide HSE market data that will benefit trading strategies in allowing people to view: total put-through transaction volume, exchange reference price changes, market value split by foreign sell/buy orders and current room (availability limit) for foreign investors of both equities and bonds.
  • The Ukrainian Exchange: Following the bourse opening its doors in March 2009, Thomson Reuters is first to offer real-time data to clients via who can now view the trading information for equities, equity index and bonds.
  • Sarajevo Stock Exchange: Real-time updates to the two oldest indices, BIFX and SASX10. The new market data enhancements including level 1 real-time prices, ranging from equities and closed-end investment funds to corporate bonds.
  • Prague Energy Exchange: The trading platform for electricity futures for Czech, Slovak and Hungarian electricity will provide real-time data for the price list, automatic trade summary (of auction and continuous trades), auction results, continuous results and the power futures.
  • Brazilian Mercantile and Futures Exchange (BM&F): To satisfy the growing demand for electronic transaction services in Latin America, Thomson Reuters now carries level 2 data on 3000Xtra, Reuters Trader Latin America and Reuters Trading for Exchanges (RTEX).
  • Dow Jones Federation of Euro-Asian Stock Exchanges (FEAS) Indexes: Market data, includes component stocks of exchanges for: Abu Dhabi (UAE), Amman (Jordan), Bahrain (Kingdom of Bahrain), Belgrade (Serbia), Bulgaria (Bulgaria), Istanbul (Turkey), Karachi (Pakistan), Macedonia (Republic of Macedonia), Muscat (Oman), and Zagreb (Croatia).
