East Asia Minerals Appoints Michael Nayyar as CFO

East Asia Minerals Corporation, an Asian-based, Canadian mineral exploration company, has hired Michael Nayyar, chartered accountant, as chief financial officer (CFO). Nayyar has more than 15 years of financial strategy and operational experience in a number of industries, including mining and exploration. In his new role, he will be responsible for the accounting, financial management and regulatory affairs of the company.

Nayyar began his career in public practice with an international accounting firm providing assurance, business advisory and taxation services to private and public clients. Since leaving public practice, Nayyar has gained significant experience with public company accounting and financial reporting for Canadian and US companies. In addition, he has consulted on initial public offerings, corporate re-organisations and business advisory assignments for various clients. Nayyar is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia.
