Unilever Expands Commercial Card Mandate in Central and Eastern Europe

Unilever, which has over 400 brands spanning 14 categories of home, personal care and foods products, has chosen to expand its Citi commercial card programme to Romania, taking advantage of the extension of Citi’s global platform for commercial card issuance into new countries.

Romania is the fifth market in central and eastern Europe (CEE) that Citi has launched its global card offering in this year. In June 2009, Citi had also extended its offering to Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia.

Paul Morris, Unilever travel and expense for EMEA, said: “Citi are extending their footprint to meet the needs of global clients such as ourselves. As a result of this new offering we are able to expand our own programme with ease and integrate their commercial card solution with our expense management system through a single source. We look forward to a long and successful relationship with Citi.
