Alliant Techsystems Appoints CFO John Shroyer as Interim CEO
Alliant Techsystems (ATK), a premier aerospace and defence company, has announced that after more than six years as chairman and chief executive officer (CEO), Daniel Murphy will leave the company and retire in March, 2010. The company has appointed John Shroyer, ATK’s chief financial officer (CFO), to serve as interim CEO.
Shroyer has held his present position since April 2006. From November 2005 to April 2006, he served as vice president (VP), operations. He served as VP and general manager, ATK Ordnance Systems from 2004 to November 2005. From 2002 to 2004, he was president of ATK Tactical Systems. He was VP, ATK Tactical Systems from 2001 to 2002, and VP and treasurer, ATK Tactical Systems, from 2000 to 2001.
