Bursa Malaysia Selects Thomson Reuters for Data Distribution Platform

Bursa Malaysia has chosen business information provider Thomson Reuters to deliver a new data distribution platform to support their growing trading business. Thomson Reuters will provide its enterprise platform for high performance information management and real time market data dissemination, improving the services offered by the exchange to brokers.

The offering combines the latest versions of Thomson Reuters Market Data System and direct feed technology. The platform integrates incoming data feeds from Bursa Malaysia and publishes them for distribution to their members.

Lim Jit Jee, chief information officer (CIO) of Bursa Malaysia, said, “As our market grows bigger and more sophisticated, there is greater need to ensure that our data distribution platform caters to speed and scalability of the changing landscape. This new market data gateway from Thomson Reuters allows the exchange to package market data according to our customers’ needs, as well as ensure that information is distributed in an expedient manner.”
