Marek Grabowski Appointed New Executive Director of the APB
The Financial Reporting Council (FRC) has appointed Marek Grabowski as the new executive director of the Auditing Practices Board (APB).
Grabowski, who retires as a partner in PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) on 31 December 2009, replaces Jon Grant who has held the position since 1996. The appointment takes effect on 1 March 2010.
Richard Fleck, APB chairman, said: “Marek is well placed to lead APB’s work in the coming years. He has extensive experience as a client service partner both as an auditor and reporting on capital market prospectuses. He has also spent periods acting as a technical support partner dealing with complex auditing and accounting issues internationally.”
