Westport Appoints Bill Larkin as CFO

Westport Innovations, an alternative fuel, low-emissions transportation technologies firm, has appointed Bill Larkin as chief financial officer (CFO).

Prior to joining Westport, Larkin served as CFO of Fuel Systems Solutions (FSYS) from May 2008 to May 2009, and corporate controller and chief accounting officer (CAO) of FSYS from November 2006 to May 2008. Prior to that, he served as director of financial reporting at Standard Pacific Corp and as an auditor at Deloitte & Touche, based in Los Angeles. Most recently, Larkin served as Interim CFO for DDi Corp, a manufacturer of circuit boards, beginning October 2009. Larkin has a BSc degree in accounting from the University of Southern California and is a certified public accountant (CPA).

Larkin replaces Elaine Wong, CFO since 2003, who will become executive vice president, strategic development, focusing on strategic growth and investment opportunities and organisational effectiveness and transformation. In addition, Darren Seed has been promoted to the position of vice president, investor relations and communications.
