AVG Technologies Partners with GlobalCollect
International security software maker AVG Technologies has partnered with GlobalCollect, a payment service provider of local e-payments, to facilitate online payments in the 167 countries where AVG software is currently available.
AVG security products support all major operating systems and platforms and are distributed globally through resellers, as well as the internet. Currently, credit card payments are being processed via GlobalCollect, while additional local and alternative payment methods such as ewallets, direct debits, and real-time bank transfers will be rolled out successively.
In this partnership, AVG will use GlobalCollect’s Merchant Link solution, which gives AVG full control over the shopping cart and check-out procedure while providing access to GlobalCollect’s portfolio of local, alternative, and international payment methods. In addition, AVG will use GlobalCollect’s Fraud Screening Service, which features a wide range of integrated fraud reduction tools to maximise transaction safety prior to authorisation.
