Misys Partners with Markit on Carbon Emissions Reporting

Misys Open Source Solutions (MOSS), a division of Misys, has partnered with Markit, a financial information services company, to promote the Misys Environmental Registry System (MERS), a new carbon management emissions reporting solution that will be released 31 March 2010.

MERS will feature an enhanced online emissions reporting system with the ability to generate comprehensive emissions reports, a robust verification module, the support of both mandatory and emissions reporting and high levels of flexibility, navigation and ease-of-use.

Markit will offer MERS and the Misys Environmental Trading Platform (METP) as premium services on its environmental platform.

Niall Cameron, executive vice president at Markit, said: “By working jointly with Misys, our aim is to support our clients in their efforts to implement their greenhouse gases emissions management and reporting policies.”
