Citi Appoints David Aldred as GTS EMEA Industrials Sector Heads for Corporates

Citigroup Global Transaction Services (GTS) has appointed David Aldred as industrials sector head for corporate clients in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. Based in London, he will report into Swati Mitra, EMEA region head for client sales management, corporates.

In his new role, Aldred will be responsible for new business origination and revenues for all EMEA based clients and subsidiaries in the industrials sector which comprises multiple sub-sectors including automotives, shipping, aviation, paper and packaging, cement, construction and general corporates.

A veteran with more than 22 years of experience in relationship management and transaction banking experience with sales leadership and execution across the full GTS product set, Aldred is a welcome addition to the team. Prior to joining Citi, he was the corporate sales head for clients in western Europe at JP Morgan for five years which was preceded by six years with Deutsche Bank as a sales director responsible for UK, Nordic and non-presence countries. Aldred is an associate member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers (ACT).
