Former CFO of EDS Ronald Vargo Joins ICF International

ICF International, a provider of consulting services to government and commercial clients, has hired Ronald Vargo as executive vice president (EVP) and chief financial officer (CFO) effective 1 April 2010. He will replace Alan Stewart, current EVP and CFO, who will retire from the company.

Vargo brings 30 years of experience as a financial and business executive to the company. Most recently, he was EVP and CFO of EDS, a technology services company that was acquired by Hewlett-Packard in 2008. In his position at EDS, Vargo was responsible for the company’s overall financial plans, policies, and accounting practices and oversaw EDS’s global finance organisation.

Prior to joining EDS as vice president and treasurer in 2004, Vargo spent 12 years with TRW, serving as vice president and treasurer and vice president of strategic planning and business development during his tenure. Before that, Vargo had a 10-year career at Standard Oil and British Petroleum, where he held several finance and line positions. He graduated from Dartmouth College and received an MBA in Finance and General Management from Stanford University.

Vargo currently serves on the board of directors of Ferro Corporation, a supplier of technology-based performance materials for manufacturers.
