Silvermex Promotes Hallein Darby to CFO

Silvermex Resources has promoted Hallein Darby, chartered accountant (CA), to chief financial officer (CFO), replacing Eugene Hodgson. She has been senior vice president finance since November 2008 and has over 20 years of securities and accounting expertise.

Darby was a director of client services at Pacific Opportunity Capital, a team of financial and management advisors to emerging companies (primarily mining). Prior to that, she was a senior securities analyst with the British Columbia Securities Commission from 1996 to 2006, where she was primarily responsible for the review of offering and continuous disclosure documents. Before that, she was employed by Deloitte in the Johannesburg, South Africa, and the Vancouver, BC offices, for periods between 1988 and 1996.
