Heckler & Koch and Planar Systems Turn to Sabrix Outsourced Managed Services Model
The tax and accounting business of Thomson Reuters has announced that Heckler & Koch and Planar Systems are among the companies migrating from their on-premise software solution, the Sabrix Application Suite, to Sabrix Managed Tax Service (MTS), the company’s outsourced managed services solution
The solution combines an on-demand version of the same tax platform used by global companies, combined with service from a multidisciplinary team of tax experts and SAS 70 certified processes.
“Revenue deficits are resulting in more complex and aggressive tax burdens from state and local governments. Yet companies are still expected to remain in compliance and balance their need to limit audit liabilities and preserve cash flow,” said Mark Montgomery, director of tax and treasury for Planar Systems. “By moving from Sabrix’s on-premise solution to their outsourced service, we have reduced IT costs and can now free up our staff by relying on their tax experts.”
Acting as an extension of a company’s finance department, the solution is designed to minimise the hassle, reduce the cost, and limit the audit exposure of sales tax compliance. Thomson Reuters say that the service addresses the complete transaction tax management process, including nexus studies, address validation, tax rate maintenance, determination and calculation, signature-ready return preparation, filing and remittance, as well as audit research and documentation. The solution is available as a subscription service, allowing companies to pay based on their usage.
