HSBC Launches 13th Guide to Treasury Management in Asia-Pacific
HSBC has launched the 13th edition of its ‘Guide to Cash, Supply Chain and
Treasury Management in Asia Pacific 2010’, covering key trends such as risk management, best practices and advances in treasury and cash management innovation across the region.
In 2009, the corporate treasury function and the strategic and operational importance of cash management were thrust into the spotlight and there was unprecedented focus on corporate liquidity, working capital and risk management for businesses throughout Asia and around the globe.
John Laurens, head of global payments and cash management, Asia-Pacific, said: “Today, as a consequence of the intense focus applied to working capital and liquidity management over the past 12 months, cash and treasury management has been elevated on the agenda of company boards. The value of the guide to finance professionals will no doubt be similarly elevated as a prime source of up-to-date reference information on cash, supply chain and treasury management.”
Reflecting the needs and interest from clients, the latest edition of the guide now contains an expanded section on technology and connectivity. Laurens added: “The recent financial crisis emphasised that we now live in a much more integrated world economy. The impact of better connectivity and value of timely information cannot be understated as they are key enablers for companies looking to successfully realise efficiencies, make sound decisions and assess risk.”
