Hana Biosciences Appoints Craig Carlson as CFO

Hana Biosciences, a biopharmaceutical company, has appointed Craig Carlson as chief financial officer (CFO), effective 1 April 2010. Carlson will assume responsibility for financial and treasury operations of the company.

Carlson has held senior leadership and executive financial management positions for the past 25 years, including positions at two public healthcare companies. He has experience negotiating strategic relationships, managing merger and acquisition (M&A) activities, and raising capital. Most recently, Carlson served as CFO and chief operating officer (COO) for 20 Cent Ventures, where he was responsible for managing several businesses, including four international subsidiaries. From 2006 to 2008, he was CFO of Neurobiological Technologies, and from 1993 to 2005, Carlson served as CFO and COO of Cygnus.

Carlson received his MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, his MS Ed in Counselling from Hofstra University, and his BA in Political Science from Union College.
