Sanjay Uppal Named CFO of nGenera

Technology industry veteran Sanjay Uppal has joined nGenera Corporation, a provider of software solutions that manage and accelerate collaboration, as CFO. Uppal brings 30 years of experience in financial and accounting management to his role, with significant experience in the software and services sector.

Most recently, Uppal served as the CFO for Montavista Software, a privately held embedded Linux software provider that was sold to Cavium Networks. Prior to Montavista, he served as CFO/vice president (VP) of finance for KSR, Continuent, and Bluestar Solutions, where he was responsible for managing their financial and accounting functions, developing strategic plans and leading several rounds of funding.

Prior to that, he spent more than 10 years at Amdahl Corporation, where he held a variety of senior financial-oriented roles. Early in his career, Uppal was an analyst in the merger and acquisition (M&A) group of Coopers & Lybrand and an auditor with KPMG.

Uppal is a chartered accountant, earned an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh and a BA from the University of Bombay. He is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
