Bamboo Solutions Appoints Michael Schwien as CFO

Bamboo Solutions, a provider of technologies that enhance Microsoft SharePoint, has appointed Michael Schwien as chief financial officer (CFO). With over 20 years of experience across a broad base of finance and accounting, business integration and operations, Schwien joins with a shared passion for customers, technology and for the software business in general.

Prior to Bamboo, Schwien was vice president of finance for Overwatch Systems (acquired by Textron), where he led the successful integration of several acquired companies providing geospatial software and services to government and commercial customers. He has also held the position of CFO at VitalSpring Technologies, a provider of healthcare business intelligence products and at VCampus Corporation, an e-learning company. Schwien has also held numerous accounting and business operations positions at BDM Technologies (acquired by TRW), ICF Kaiser International and Deloitte & Touche. He holds a BSc degree in Business & Administration from the University of Colorado and is a certified public accountant (CPA).
