Oro Gold Appoints Priscila Costa Lima as CFO
Oro Gold Resources, a junior gold exploration company, has appointed Priscila Costa Lima as chief financial officer (CFO). A certified management accountant (CMA), Costa Lima holds a BBA in Finance with a joint Major in Economics from Simon Fraser University and will be responsible for leading the accounting and financial reporting duties of the company. She is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish, has worked in the resource industry in Vancouver since 2004.
Costa Lima was previously the corporate controller for Western Prospector Group, a Vancouver based TSX-V Company. While at Western, she managed the implementation of new enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems in Mongolia and Canada, as well as successfully led the transition of Western’s former management team to a new team. Costa Lima also played a major role with the take-over bids and due diligence processes that resulted in the sale of Western to a major Chinese company.
As CFO, Costa Lima has replaced Peter Kendrick who accepted a new appointment with the company as vice president corporate development. Kendrick has been a director of the company and the CFO since 2007.
