Prime Rate Appoints James Craigen as Portfolio Manager

Prime Rate Capital Management, an independent provider of liquidity and fixed income products, has appointed James Craigen as portfolio manager, reporting to senior portfolio manager, Gary Skedge.

Craigen is an experienced treasury manager with a strong knowledge of money markets, fixed income, foreign exchange (FX) and economics, having managed multiple balance sheets for over 10 years. He joins from the Gulf International Bank (GIB), where he was head of money markets. He began his career at GIB in 1985 becoming head of the division in 1997.

Craigen’s experience with Middle East and North Africa (MENA) investors comes at a time when Prime Rate is launching the first Shariah-compliant liquidity instrument, targeting a triple-A rating, for the Islamic wholesale investment markets.
