Standard Chartered Appoints Head of Origination for Equity-linked Securities

Standard Chartered Bank has appointed Nathan McMurtray as head of origination for equity-linked securities. He will report to Aniruddh Gupta, global head of capital market solutions.

McMurtray will be responsible for continuing to expand and deepen the bank’s convertible bond origination and corporate equity-linked solutions capabilities across Asia, Africa and the Middle East.

McMurtray brings 10 years of capital markets experience to the role. Prior to his appointment with Standard Chartered, he was with Standard Bank Asia as a managing director in the global markets group and head of equity-linked origination. He also spent nine years with Morgan Stanley, both in New York and Hong Kong, working in the Global Capital Markets group.
