GlobalEnglish Appoints Roger Piskulick as CFO

GlobalEnglish, a provider of on-demand learning and support for business English communication, has appointed Roger Piskulick as chief financial officer (CFO). Piskulick’s responsibilities will include overseeing the finance, accounting, and legal departments, as well as the internal IT and facilities organisations.

Piskulick’s past experience includes more than 20 years of management and executive leadership in national and international finance roles. Most recently, he served as vice president of finance operations at The Active Network, an industry leader of online event management software with US$200m in revenue and a five-year growth rate of 600%. He led a global team of 60 employees encompassing 25 different revenue platforms.

Piskulick’s earlier experience includes the position of vice president of finance and operations at Blackboard, an enterprise e-education software and transaction system platforms company, where he helped lead the company to one of the most successful technology initial pubic offerings (IPOs) of 2004. Piskulick is a certified public accountant (CPA).
