Grupo Modelo Selects GT Nexus to Provide Global Logistics Operating Platform

Grupo Modelo has chosen GT Nexus to provide an operating platform for global logistics management and control. Delivered as a web service, the platform will integrate to internal Grupo Modelo software systems and provide shipment visibility, documentation standardisation and transaction automation between Grupo Modelo and its network of logistics partners and customers worldwide.

Grupo Modelo is a Mexican beer producer. Currently, it brews and distributes 13 brands, including Corona Extra, Modelo Especial, Victoria, Pacífico and Negra Modelo. It exports five brands and is present in 160 countries.

“We have a broad strategy to leverage innovative technology across our global supply chain,” said Julian Fernandez, supply chain director at Grupo Modelo. “GT Nexus gives us the ability to extend the reach of our technology across our logistics partner network and provides the connectivity to our supply chain planning systems. The enhanced logistics visibility and control will enable us to better optimise production operations to meet demand.”
