Wright Express Joins PCI Security Standards Council
Wright Express, a provider of payment processing and information management services to the US commercial and government fleet industry, has joined the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Security Standards Council as a participating organisation. Wright Express will work with the council to evolve the PCI Data Security Standard (DSS) and other payment card data protection standards.
Wright Express will have access to the latest payment card security standards from the council, be able to provide feedback on the standards and become part of a growing community that now includes more than 500 organisations. In an era of increasingly sophisticated attacks on systems, adhering to the PCI DSS represents an entity’s best protection against data criminals. By joining as a participating organisation, Wright Express, is adding its voice to the process.
“Wright Express is fully committed to the collaborative efforts of payment industry stakeholders to enhance these global security standards,” said Deven Bhatt, chief information security officer (CISO), Wright Express. “We are looking forward to providing valuable input for PCI DSS, PADSS, PIN Transaction Security, and working with technical working groups of the PCI Council to analyse and address specific industry challenges.”
