Barron McCann Introduces SWIFT Access for SMEs

Payment systems, information security and IT services specialist Barron McCann now offers small or medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) simple, low-cost access to the SWIFT network, since it has become a reseller for SWIFT’s Alliance Lite connectivity product.

SWIFT’s Alliance Lite product allows organisations to access the SWIFT data network without the need to install any SWIFT-specific software at their premises. All that is required is a standard internet connection and a SWIFT-issued USB hardware security token. Alliance Lite allows users to send and manage most SWIFT messages for payments or securities via a browser-based interface and with the same level of security as all other SWIFT transactions.

Barron McCann’s SWIFT business manager, John Doyle, said: “Alliance Lite is an innovative and creative product which provides all of the benefits of SWIFTs service to SMEs, but in a much more cost-effective and affordable way for smaller businesses. When combined with our own Validate and Paygate electronic payment systems, Alliance Lite becomes a powerful and highly-capable tool for all types of payment, both domestic and international.”
